Connections between strategies and people results

People results must have a clear link to the human resources strategy. One sign of good human resources management is an explicit human resources strategy which has a clear connection with operational results and which is monitored in terms of implementation. A human resources strategy should be based on an educational institution’s vision, which has been used as a basis to determine operational objectives, measures and actions at process and individual levels.

The educational institution has defined processes relating to staff development on the basis of its strategy. The institution puts its operating methods into practice in a methodical and systematic manner. It assesses the staff development process diversely based on feedback collected from different stakeholders and quantitative indicators collected by an independent body. It collects feedback regularly and monitors feedback in terms of trends and compares it with results obtained by other organisations. The results are used as a basis to improve the development process of staff competence and review staff-related objectives.
